I don't have a singular one but they all look almost new. I treat them very carefully and almost never take them out of my house

Wtf are people doing to make their books look like that? If one takes it out of the house, there is still no way it can look like that. Is it intentional so that other people see this and think one studied this book word for word for 10h a day?

My aunt abuses benzos and reads in the bath. I know the look of a book that's been dropped in hot water

Yeah ok. Didn't think of stuff like this. Reading in the bath in general is probably pretty common.

It's a 97-year-old book of sheet music that was sitting in an attic for probably 50+ years. Other than that, just some really fucked up paperback spines.

This is the only physical book I own. Bought it after reading it on my Kobo. Loved it so much that I wanted a physical copy of it. I read this book once in a while as if it was my Bible.

I bought this copy in its current state about eight years ago, I've read it three times since and it's condition will get worse.
