Okay, I'll bite. Antisemitism has always been a la mode amongst western intelligentsia, partly due to latent Christian teachings and largely due to the elevation of Jews from a minority underclass to bourgeois status. I imagine many of these writers probably acted out one of, or a combination of these. Each country and time has different reasons for antisemitism, though most of the discourses follow similar trends, and whilst most stereotypes and prejudices are based in some sort of truth, outright hatred is another matter, I've always felt that this is more akin to faith, when people substitute heuristic-driven judgement for empiricism, nor is this unique to the educated classes either. Antisemites have always found it hard to discuss their break their teleological viewpoints and I imagine this will persist as long as Jewry does.

Antisemitism was a very commonplace belief in Europe and America for hundreds of years. It's not surprising that many authors from those places would hold to commonly accepted beliefs of their culture. It's not really that deep. Try harder with the bait next time.
