People being offended
Does anyone have any books or essays that help explain why so many people seem to be so offended and/or attacking people that have different preferences.
Im mostly talking about food, drinks, hobbies. Trivial stuff . I understand why more "serious stuff" like politics or idealogies could cause someone to attack another, or become offended
But i have had way to many grown men/women tell me I am disgusting for drinking guiness. And I usually say " whats next, are you going to tell me im also wrong because my favorite ice cream is different than yours
Its probabaly a tribal thing, or also sometimes an insecurity thing
Maybe its also when I am being seen as weak or a easy to pick target.
Idk ive also had people attack me for all sorts of random trivial shit

>writings that explain the humans that get offended over trivial things

I find it interesting that people almost seem to get more offended by these small differences than by large ones. Like why do people care so much if someone else likes asses or feet or whatever. Very odd.

It’s almost like caring if someone’s Jewish or not

I ordered soda at the bar and the bartender bitch said "thats weird"
I replied "yeah do you also think doggy style is weird"

Ive ordered coffee at the bar (at 9pm to wakeup before i start drinking )
Guy next to me is like "your weird bro"
And im like "do you like small tits or big tits?" He says "big"
So i say "yeah you probabaly think im weird for liking small titties too eh"

Idk maybe im just surrounded with emotionally immature losers that cannot understand preferences

Like i told my friends dad I was gunna travel most of the summer . He says "you should just stick around home and work all summer!" And im like "great idea man, why didnt i think of that"
To me it seems its his ego and he feels attacked because hes insecure that someone is doing something different than he is (working all summer)

So im looking for writings that help explain this strangr behavior

Lol ill let someone else rip on this post

Early In the brothers karamazov theres something about one of the brothers being offended by daddys behavior in from of the elder and it explains that some people gain a joy from being offended. Which makes some sense
