Female great apes tend to be extraordinarily cliquey and when they derive power it is only ever through cooperative female coalitions or sexual availability to a particularly violent male monkey.
Male monkeys tend to be much more divided between each other, lethally violent within their own sex, and aggressively territorial.
Generally hominid species dominated by female coalitions tend to be the most sexually loose and peaceful within a tribe, there is cucking absolutely everywhere. Hominid species dominated by an alpha male (never a male coalition), tend to be extremely violent within their tribes and succession is just a matter of time until the alpha ape is too old and some young ape, possibly his own son, caves his skull in.
The entirety of human history, mythology and psychology is an outgrowth of this dynamic. The reason humans are “civilised”, likely begins with the fact that humans invented male coalitions to negotiate and enforce territoriality in a way that wasn’t just caving each others skulls in, to the woe of female Homo sapiens.
