Are novels a good way to experience love, with its pros, cons, and all that? And if so, what books are good for that?

No, novels aren't a replacement for experiences. They are theory and not practice. You can read all the books on a topic, but if you never engage with them you will just fumble around them.

Novels are distilled and sublime life. They're realer than "real life" even.

The people you meet outside are under no circumstances authentic or real. The characters in novels are on the other hand.

I remember a post by some anon a few years back praising it as one the greatest novels of the 20th century.

My French is not yet good enough to read the original, does it work in translation or am I fucked?

Also, have you read Proust, and if yes, how would you compare them?

I've thought this fertile soil for a book, before, but do struggle with the concept ultimately devolving into an escape fantasy by way of incredibility.

I fucking hate women. I fucking hate women. I despise women. And no human being should feel sorry enough for their lot in life that they would want to have sex with women. It's a fucking joke.

Every man should be focused on fucking as many female celebrities as possible. These are your fucking idols. So you're going to get a woman who looks like one of your idols and you're going to fuck her and tell her who you really are. You're going to say, "I'm the fucking CEO of Tesla, I'm the world's most valuable inventor, I own PayPal." And she's going to think, "This guy is such a fucking idiot. I'm just a girl who had to come over here from fucking Hungary because my fucking family is poor and I'm going to tell this fucking loser who owns Tesla and has no job, and this guy is going to buy my fucking vagina for the night." And then you're going to do this to her and this.
