Yeah, his shtick is that he is an hedonist Boomer, but he's different from the majority of hedonists (who are not particularly bright people) in that he actually realised the contradictions and shortcomings of such an attitude toward the world, which leads him to approach traditional or conservative stances without actually being part of that milieu (except for the lazy Israel comments though, but I guess that's more of a general Boomer thing)

In some ways the worst thing in the world is to be an individual who loves being a degenerate but who is also intelligent enough to see the big picture and understand historical trends.
If you're just a dumb degenerate life is fine, you pursue pleasure until you die.
But if you can also see and understand what is happening on a civilizational level...you're going to have a bad time.
