For the past few decades, writing has became a low-reward and low-status activity. If a person has ambitions to make an impact, there are far better mediums to use.

I do think that writing may return as an influential art form as corporate control of the internet increases, and the freedom of writing gets rediscovered, but I may also be delusional. Time will tell.

Where's the literary ANYBODY? Yes, there's a lot literature still being written by "women of color," but none of it is important or will be remembered. There aren't Alice Walkers or anyone truly notable. If there were as many white male authors being published as there are other authors, the situation would still be the same, because people would still be too ill to create.

Honestly, his twitter seems a bit depressing these days. Any initial buzz about him from substack or his books he published waned, as did many small independents on social media this year, and he doesn't seem well. I think any follow, like, or even comment, if you have those platforms might help him rally a bit. It's free to give that kind of support and I do think it goes a long way for authors or any creative really that is struggling.

During plandemic years, my Human Rights were negated, and they literally threatened me with deleting what I had wrote since I was a teen in a blog with friends who also wanted to write. They took away my name from the authors list, and forced me to comply with the stupid vaxx thing or it was pretty much implied I would be 'unexisted'. Guess it was a power thing. I decided back then that there was no one worth writing for in such a repulsive world full of people that only care about consuming and being told what to do by the system. There was no one I wanted to make my stories, poems and essays reach to, no one worth the time, no one with the emotions for my internal world.

Also even after I got vaxxed they took away my body autonomy and made watch AI gen images of the woman I love being raped just because lol xD, and I'm still threatened in various ways, but that's another story
