Is there any proof about the assumptions he makes on the origins of Christianity? I've seen irl the shit he talks about people using morality as a tool to mask their stupidity, which I think is an interesting point he makes on the psychology behind morals. Although I've never heard anyone else point out this was the origin of Christianity, it just seems to me he's giving his opinion not based on any proof. All I see is philosophers call Christians retards but not in the same way Nietzsche did. What other authors have talked Christianity being born in resentment and frustation?

I don't remember him calling Christians retards.
Most of his research came from reading the sources, the Bible, the early church fathers and his general knowledge about ancient Greece and Rome from his work as a philologist. I think his work probably doesn't meet contemporary empirical standards.

He does call them resentful weaklings

Christians were just an archetypal example that he wished to polemicize against because Germany was a largely Christian nation. It doesn't mean all of Christianity is irredeemably bad or that you can't make something life-affirming and noble out of it. He heaped praise upon Jesus for a reason.

Sure, but saying retard sounds like he just wanted to use some generic insult. When it comes to resentment he can at least present some arguments like the spread of Christianity in the Roman underclass, or ideas like hell which are a form of imagined revenge.
