Oh, I remember reading this when my mom became more accepting of the likelihood of me being on the spectrum.

Only read it once and I hated it. The ending was such a shitshow and I don't understand how people buy it as a happy ending, it's not. The mom is objectively a horrible person and the son is worse off for having her back in his life.

People really consider that a happy ending? The dad was 100% justified in doing what he did. That dog's owner was lucky the dad didn't put two hot ones in his head. The mom was a legitimate whore
