I was reading in the library and I thought I heard a girl behind me say "you're fake". I know I wasn't being fake. I just had time to kill and I preferred to read in the library rather than on a bench in public. I take it as a complement because whatever she thought I was faking was genuine on my part, meaning I am actually pretty learned.

Maybe you missheard, and even if you didnt, dont go into thought loops. i know that feel because i get pretty neurotic too, when my authencity gets questioned so really dont stress too much about what one broad says. I mean she says you are fake for being in a library, but she is in the library herself. That shows that if she sees other people in the library, she herself is performative and knows this, or it wouldnt even cross her mind to accuse other people. Besides, the library is a place where you go to read. Atleast in my country. Lots of people studying there, or pupils doing homework, foreigners learning hte language or just people with too much free time reading there. Never would anyone there bat an eye at another person reading lmao. Seriously just try to forget her
