Unironically just read what's available and come to your own conclusions. Most people don't even read the publicly available archives for things like Hitlers autopsy.

I think the biggest issue is the translation and censorship/ loads of rewrites.

So the study requires a bit of in depth dedication and pursuit. You can't really believe everything about literature at the time if it's first hand from Germany and everyone else was churning their own form of propaganda.
Read between the lines but don't invest into one theory too heavily.
