Honestly... If I imagine being a Christian who believes in the Bible exclusively, any possible criticism of the Bible becomes extremely important to me.
I mean, maybe the Bible is the perfect word of God, but the process of writing and canonizing it was done by fallible humans.
So, in order to be consistent with my own ideology, I need to extent the perfectly not just to the text but to the "tradition of transition", too.
So, at least some conciles must be perfect when they deceide what cames into the Bible and what they left out. In the case I doubt this, the perfect, infallible word of God becomes merely guesswork since I no longer know for sure whether a certain vers belongs in the canon or not.
