I’ve made a shit ton of stuff over the years and most is just lost to time. I think the most salient realization seeing what’s been reposted over the years is that there’s no correlation between effort and memetic power. I’ve spent days trying to effortpost infographs and photoshops, months trying to samefag posts that I wanted go gain traction, and it’s all fairly hopeless. Some bullshit I threw together in 2 minutes is what catches on.

Just as an example this one is really funny to me and took more effort than the banned books one but I never see it reposted. I make more serious reading guides and such elsewhere, a few of those have traction. You just gotta ride the waves that come in I guess.
