Passing a law ordering women to shut the fuck up would be like hitting the mute button on a TV on the background that's been tuned to Telemundo with the volume maxed for your entire life and you've just gotten used to it

My decisions have gotten so much better in all areas of life when I started ignoring the opinions of women. It applies to everything from toothpaste reviews on Amazon to life advice like this.

I wonder if Mel Robbins just "let them" be when people decided not to wear masks or get vaccinated during covid. Something tells me he was screeching on twitter about how we had to "force them" to adhere to peer pressure.

Self help books are so retarded. I had several people recommend Atomic Habits to me because "they also have adhd and it changed their life" and the entire book is just like "write shit down and then do it". I hate the self help book writing strategy of having 95% of the chapter be mundane life stories and then 5% "helpful" information. It's so fucking transparent when they're trying to hit a certain page count or whatever.

why not classic self help like The Book Of The Five Rings, Hakagure, or anything by Jung or Maslow?

Those I cannot speak on as I have not read them, I was mainly talking about the trendy modern self help books. Jung does pique my interest though, I've only heard good things (from people whose opinions I actually respect)
