A few years back i wrote a short story about the Halloween clearance section at Walgreens, maybe i will post it in a bit if I get the ambition to find it.

what a hideous photograph. in america, peons and gimps adorn their mortgaged lawns in celebration of the bastardisation of samhain, which was invented by banks to sell more plastic knick-knacks. and the slave-class turns out to the aisles in droves. they happily wait in long queues to purchase their plastic replicas, slurping up chemical sludges through long petroleum straws, in a humdrum rendition of oil-drilling.
