Don’t combine saccharine romantic garble with natural scenery and expect people to care. It’s lazy and inauthentic. Write things that are real.

Like any other subject study poetry and practice poetry. Remember in poetry you're working on the level of words, a poet will spend hours to find the right word whereas a Novelist will spend hours to find the right paragraph.
