Maybe before Christianity, but not during it.
Zoomers in 2025 may be having less sex than in the past few decades, but that's just because there are so many shut-ins now and everyone is on the Internet instead of out. This doesn't mean that people aren't hypersexualized today, with one-night-stands, FWBs, hook-up apps, fetishes, lgbt, etc bring normalized and celebrated as positive, with more and more people publicly making them them entire life, parents being happy when their children are like this, etc.
Before modern times this was unthinkable, and extramarital affairs were kept secret and didn't happen nearly as often as today.
Not to mention how remaining a virgin until marriage was the norm, while now it's pretty much unheard of, with most girls losing their virginity in their teens (sometimes tweens).
