Was Qunetin the first incel?
He spends his entire chapter obsessed with his sister and when she lost her virginity, stopping only to obsess about his own virginity. The only time he's not thinking about sex is when he's thinking of slurs to call italians. In college, a Harvard Man for God's sake, and he's cavorting about white trash Boston eating junk food and picking fights with the most successful student he can find.
If Quentin was alive today he'd end his chapter with Keating a note for his roommate "You were always nice to me. Don't go to the big race tomorrow."

>I went on back to the desk and read Lorraine’s letter. “Dear daddy wish you were here. No good parties when daddys out of town I miss my sweet daddy.” I reckon she does. Last time I gave her forty dollars. Gave it to her. I never promise a woman anything nor let her know what I’m going to give her. That’s the only way to manage them. Always keep them guessing. If you cant think of any other way to surprise them, give them a bust in the jaw.
Jason was the first PUA influencer

Joking aside, it's possible that a lot of people in later generations won't be able to enjoy things like Faulkner or the written work of worth in general because they can only function over social engineered models of thought instead of proper personal introspection and understanding of ideas. Sad!
