Guilty pleasures
What's one book you enjoy immensely but would be embarrassed to admit so?
Anonymous No.24699520 [Report]
none. i read pulp here and there, but i have no shame about it. most people read nothing at all. their opinion is of little matter to me.

I wouldn't broadcast the fact that I enjoyed In Praise of the Stepmother given that it is essentially well written smut but I would still say it was a good book

I was a teenager. There was no internet porn back then. Inspiration for taking matters into your own hands, was either imagination or perhaps a catalog or store flyer.
I was reading some sword and sorcery fantasy stuff, and found a coupe books by one Sharon Green. Think I got the author right. Had a pretty amazon on the cover, some kind of saddle on what appeared close to a polar bear she was riding, her sword aloft.
Didn't take me too long to realize, she was a sex slave to the head barbarian dude. She had taken an oath to some god, to serve... whoever for whatever reason. When the adventure started, it became apparent that some of the men were scared of her especially if he had a sword or a stick in her hands. Sharon Green did a couple of these types of novels. You got pretty girls, guys with swords and adventure, and titillating S&M as well.

So yeah, my guilty pleasure back then.

I can read Alice in Wonderland multiple times and not get bored of it, but I get weird looks if I say it's my favourite book. Same case with some of the Grimm Tales

Simple. Would you have sex with a 6 year old kid? No, right? Of course not. So then why is it suddenly okay if you put a 1 to the left of it?

it's not incelkino but it's a degree of romance wish-fulfillment. a depressed boring guy trades his lifespan for money and then gets together with a girl during his last few months. it's a very unsubtle story of "value yourself and appreciate the little things in life you dumbfuck hurr durr" but i found it charming anyway.

there's a difference between pedophilia and ephebophilia retard; use wikipedia to do basic research before responding to my posts to ensure that you actually know what you're talking about and that you're not outing yourself as a troglodyte as you are here. i'll concede that your attempt was better than the other guy's

Jane Austen's novels, they are too funny, I just can't help but reread them even though I'm obviously not the target audience.

Why tho? I know it Watanabe's favorite in Norwegian woods but I don't know why they hype it so much.

I don’t have any pleasure. I simply read. I don’t eat much, I don’t sleep much, I’ve never had sex, never been kissed, never held hands, never had girlfriend, haven’t spoken to a woman in 5 years. I have no pleasure. I simply read. I have to keep reading.
