I'd argue the bin lacks cupness. You wouldn't normally regard it as a cup, nor would it normally come to mind if you tried to think of all the different kinds of cups there are. When you look at a bin in its normal use cases, you do not recognize in it the form of cup the way you do when looking at a tumbler or a mug. It's not even just the size of it, if you shrank that shape down to cup size it would be a can of spam, not a cup. That thing simply does not emanate from the form of cup.
