I disagree. Id say optimistic pragmatism would be the most correct perspective. SInce it gives you the a priori energy to explore more productive models of adressing things, while also being frank about the apearent limitations that are in place.
Cynisism is too stagnant to be correct. Something sours you on a topic and thus does not nurture a more robust nuanced understanding of that topic.
Cynicism involves being a social retard, so I can see why it would be popular on /lit/.
But if you want friends, and especially if you want to get laid, you need to learn how to play the social game.
Cynicism reeks of incel cope.

I consider myself a cynical person, and Iβm also a social retard. The thing is, I donβt want to be cynical, it just happens. Iβm too cynical as well, I know that (Iβm cynical about my cynicism lol). It makes no sense to be cynical, but I am anyways. How do you fix that?
I'm not a big thinker but from what i've seen i's just a copout for people who couldn't have been appreciated in earnest anyway and so they throw away whatever chances at kindness they might have had.

I thought we were talking about the Cynic philosophy, not cynicism as a personality trait.
At any rate, you fix it by mixing with people, and learning to appreciate them. Society has a corrective influence on our shortcomings.

The original cynics were old timey hippies who thought not living as bums and having public sex was the pinnacle of good living so clearly something went wrong if nowadays cynics can't even get laid.
