One problem with it is that it results in death of a lot its adherents. I suppose that's the point though.
It depends on how you look at it.
I'm not saying this to be one of those typical left-wing people who are like "follow your leader" with a meme of Hitler blowing his brains out, or gloating about dead German soldiers in World War II. I don't think that was a good thing. All that stuff about "destiny" and some cosmic, emotional experience in warfare led up to what in reality was pretty horrific. Honestly if you want to discover some greater truth in that, go buy some meat and dump it on the sidewalk in the hot sun and stare at it. That's what happened to all of those people. I suppose some people find it beautiful. I think the reality is that it's just meat on the sidewalk.
