Mitya Feining Mental Illness
Did Dmitri Karamazov pretend to be crazy before his trial? Malingering schizophrenia isn't hard to do; all you have to do is ham up racing thoughts, incoherent speech, and delusions, as well as thought blocking. So, does Mitya lack insight or does he just pretend to blur the lines between good and evil? Murder is a hard charge to get out of; the only defence is the insanity defence, that you did not understand what you were doing at the time.

Bro were you speedreading or something he literally talks about what he did and what he didn't do at the trial, and there's a scene with doctors when those who were trying to help him(because of Katerina's guidance idk I don't remember) said he's not fully sane and the other one said he's sane because he walks straight.
What is this schizo thread I'm only bumping because I like this book
