I'm reading this Finnish sort of classic from the 80s, Häräntappoase (Oxen-killing weapon, or something like that) and it's really good. It's basically heavily inspired by Catcher in the Rye and features being written in /spoken/ Finnish, which of course being totally different from the written form makes it all distinctive. I'm having a good time with it. It really puts you in mind of being around 16-17 years old and thinking authenticity and living to the fullest is the most important thing in life.

At 31, I'd say I agree anyway. Reminds me of how I used to think when I was the same age, and how pointless all of this has been ever since I forgot that.

I tend to juggle multiple books at the same time. Throughout my day, unless the book is short, I'll read about 50 pages or so of each. Rarely will I read a single book for an entire day. Today, I've read:
De Interpretione by Aristotle
De Rerum Natura, Book III by Lucretius
Aeneid, Book X by Virgil
The Book of Esther, and the apocryphal Additions to Esther
1 Maccabees 1-2

Maybe I have ADHD idk.

Currently – VALIS by PKD. Got another book on the CIA fucking around and overthrowing democratically elected governments called Killing Hope on the backburner. Also picking away at a Lovecraft collection.
