Yes, an unabridged edition of Summa Theologica in a single volume would be very schizo. 7,000 pages in a single volume sounds wildly impractical.
Anonymous No.24814274 [Report] >>24814674
why should I read the summa theologica?

Few books have had as much impact on Western culture and philosophy.

Not what 'schizo' means. Aquinas was incredible logical and structured in his thinking. That's why we're still reading him you retard.

I am not really sure that is true. I think it's impact is overestimated as it wasn't widely distributed at any point prior to the reformation, and then mostly distributed in Southern Europe, which had little influence after the reformation.

If the majority of whites believe one thing, and the majority of browns believe a different thing, and those views cannot be reconciled: the view of the browns is incorrect.

Yeah, and how's the White race doing under atheism and Protestantism? Birthrates collapsing, right? While your leaders let in Muslims and Hindus? Maybe you shouldn't have abandoned the Church. Maybe God is punishing you for doing so and the beatings will continue until you crawl back to Rome like you should have done decades ago.

Hey, do me a favour and go check how many of those charites and NGOs that are shipping immigrants, lobbying for immigrants, caring for immigrants and inviting immigrants are Catholic.

Catholics are worse than Jews.

I swear White people are literally being punished by God. It is the only thing that makes sense when you look how White society has collapsed over the past few decades.

Anonymous No.24816312 [Report] >>24817518

I think it's just the rapid shift from Christendom to atheism. We like to think of ourselves as "rational" and "scientific", but our experiences of the world are emotional and relational. Regardless of how true Christianity is, Atheism/secularism by itself doesn't give people a stable and positive sense of their place in the world; telling the average person that they are just complex chemical reactions is a bad way of framing importance.

Au contraire. It's actually more like the Big Book of Hyper-Mainstream-core beliefs of the Middle Ages. Literally every single part of the Roman Catholic Church dogma book either cites or makes reference to St. Thomas Aquinas' Summa Theologiae.

I can't think of anything on the same level of undisputed authoritativeness besides, say, the ANSI C Standard, the National Electrical Code, and the Machinist's Handbook.

Atheism may be relatively new as a mainstream belief, but ancient Greek philosophy and Medieval Scholasticism are proof that autism has always been part of our species. Before we had DnD, rolepaying games, and "hard" science novels, we had autistic philosophers who tried to logically prove that Virgin Mary's conception was immaculate.
St. Thomas Aquinas was the spiritual forefather of neckbeards and would most likely be a hardcore PC gamer if he were alive today.
