not to get too far into the math of it since this is after all a literature forum, but since Nick Land and the CCRU did talk about it some that should make it fair game to at least mention it:
the Numogram is a diagram that describes the Female/Matter in a mathematical fashion, just as the Tetractys is a diagram that describes Male/Form in a mathematical fashion.
The Tetractys has One (1) at the top of the pyramid, and then underneath it 2, underneath that 3, and then underneath that 4, and when you at them all up it equals 10. This is why it represents the Male/Form, because the number 1 is given precedence, it is at the top of the pyramid/hierarchical structure.
The Numogram is derived from the Tetractys, but done in a slightly different fashion, and also very importantly in includes 0, but not 10. This is important because to the Pythagoreans, 1 was the first number, and with the Numogram now 0 is the "first number", i.e. it wrests supremacy from 1. (at least symbolically it's doing this.) The other absolutely important fact is that the Numogram is not hierarchical, it's rather an example of Multiplicity, which is Female-oriented. So you have what are called the "syzygies", or groupings of two numbers. 0 and 9, 1 and 8, 2 and 7, 3 and 6, 4 and 5. They all add up to 9. But even though 3,6 is at the top of the Numogram, that doesn't imply it is the "leader" or the most important syzygy. It's all de-centralized, an oligarchy of Mean Girls. Nick Land also stressed that it is ATEMPORAL, another important clue that it represents the Female at its core, because the Male is Time (yes, Time as Eternity, but still a Time), whereas Female is Space/Matter.
While i haven't studied the writings about the Numogram entirely, i do notice a lot of buzzwords that get used to describe it that are all Female oriented: "contagious, chaotic, atemporal, irrational," etc. Male is Rational, the Logos. Female is Irrational, Desire, feelings, that sorta thing.
