I've written my diary desu digitally for a few years and then switched to paper for another few years. I think I've kept a journal for like 15 years in total before quitting. If you're asking about the quality of the output then no, there is no difference. You can draw or staple a note or a picture in the paper one and you can search the digital one which is helpful when you want to recall a specific event.
