His thing is "always take responsibility for everything because ultimately, at some level, it was your fault and you should have done better. Then do better next time." And then every time he talks to his audience, he gets a different guy saying "I tried taking responsibility for some fuckup at work and I got fired, what did I do wrong?" And the answer is always "nothing, that's what's supposed to happen."
