"Pretentious" very often means "I found this difficult but I think of myself as smart so it's the book's fault". Sometimes it's just chimp rage at being held to any sort of standard at all.

Very underused term for a board like /lit/. It almost always sets off who ever gets called out on it though (e.g. >>24858236).
