NTA but ever since the the cold war the intelligentsia have increasingly subscribed to the idea of viewing and contextualizing works and individuals through a lens where the modern era's categories, opinions, and concepts are seen as eternal and predominant as the viewer's opinions and interpretations are more objective that the actual facts of the matter or any historical realities or contexts.

to clarify, yes this is retarded, no it doesn't make sense. You need to understand it's not supposed to make sense you're just expected to nod and obey and repeat the lines, and hope that when the "objective" stance on supposedly "subjective" interpretations changes according to ideological shifts and tribalism, you stay up to date and don't get shot for not properly updating your mantras and slogans.

We're talking about the culture of academia that invented and pushed Queer Theory into the mainstream as if it has any actual intellectual value, and indeed enshrined it, you shouldn't be surprised.

Butler believes in Jihadi supremacy because they fight American hegemony even though they would imprison her home, pregnant and veiled so she's actually back in with the progressive trans crowd who I assume are similarly self hating to the point of welcoming racial justice in their beheading.

The university has become more akin to a mall or a shopping center, where people spend their money on trinkets (books) and splurge once on a piece of paper (degree).
