>god exists because we have a word for that phenomenom
>god is a worldwide phenomenom, due to being a product of the collective unconsiousness. Same mechanics apply as with the explained spread of agriculture followed by the adoption of writing and many such things around the beginning of civilisation.
>god is a natural phenomenom. The human mind has the ability to create images of other beings or even abstractions. Nothing bars the imagination from thinking of a being greater than them, but with similar traits. It's a game of rules and anyone can play.
>I win

Who wrote about this first?

>So God created mankind in his own image in the image of God he created them

Works both ways. Man created god in his image. The fucking book was written by man.

I don’t think “God” in the Judeo-Christian sense ever existed in the collective unconscious. Do you mean the concept of deities and spirits? This belief is widespread because theory of mind in humans is extremely advanced and so agency is instinctually ascribed to mysteries.

>reality is material and dead and unconscious because I have subconsciously defined it as such and lack self awareness of this fact meaning I rationalize everything to fit into this frame no matter how ridiculous.

What if Marcion was right, and this is just the evil demiurge Yahweh instead of the True God?

He's simply the Heavenly Father archetype. That is, the sky-god who rules the world, and is highly prone to impregnating mortal women.
He's been given many names, including Zeus, Jupiter, Odin etc.

The actual truth of the one God (Allah) is found in the Qu'ran. Pretty easy to understand too.

God exists. I know that to be true. And I will never forgive him for what he has done.

The examples are there to be Googled.
>Ṣàngó is viewed as the most powerful of the orisha pantheon and is often described in two differing narratives. In the first narrative, Ṣàngó casts a "thunderstone" to earth, which creates thunder and lightning, to anyone who offends him. Worshippers in Yorubaland in Nigeria do not eat cowpea because they believe that the wrath of the god of thunder and lightning would descend on them. In the second narrative, Ṣàngó is gifted with the ability to breathe fire and smoke through his nostrils and is known for being angered by his quarrelsome wives. These narratives also encapsulate the virility, bravery, and governance of Ṣàngó.

I'm not saying god doesn't exist. I think it's a undoubtable fact that it exists. Atheist can fuck right off and die, but so can god

God ecists because the bible told us so.
The bible is true because it is the word of god.
The word of god exists because god exists.
God exists because the word of god exists.

That's what we call circular reasoning, or a causal loop.

People have an unfortunate tendency of confusing the definition of God for proof of the existence of God.

The whole of christianity is just some smug mf'er writing things which sound cool and mysterious, but does not really have any logical ground to stand on.

>le God works in mysterious ways.
>hah but God is not who you think he his
>suffering is a trial created by the angels
>the temptation of the apple is a metaphor for being into femboys

Yeah but is the idea of god conditioned as necessary by the transcendental constitution of objectivity or are you merely projecting necessity onto your own methodological values of wholeness, completeness, universality, &c.?

If you are a fish in the ocean, then there are fish always smaller than you, and there are fish always bigger than you.
It's probably the same with the deities, in case of big fish. The deities are like landmarks on the horizon. You want to get closer to the horizon, but the closer you get, the further they moves away.
The deities are alive, the deities are ideals. It's good to have ideals.

this almost sounds like something Wittgenstein would say, except he'd phrase it in a way only a German autist would and he'd ditch the junk about collective unconsciousness.
