So what are the chances of us getting a more Shonen-like Escaflowne re-make along the lines of the manga with a busty sexpot Hitomi?

I haven't seen a whole lot of new Medieval Mech out there lately, and it seems like studios are okay remaking established properties more than ever.

I think the last recent medieval mecha I watched was Knights & Magic (which was a lot better than I expected and wish they would put out more) and maybe Back Arrow, which I didn't finish but thought it had some potential.

Brokenblade (Breakblade) finally ended its manga run after years and years of hiatus, so maybe they'll end up animating that?

Other than that, it looks like Panzer World Galient got a semi-wide release, which I bought but have yet to check out. I love the Galient promo art.

Am I missing anything recent?

Escaflowne is basically a dead property in Japan, and even if it wasn't that pretty much would be against the point of the show which was supposed to be really shoujoesque and pretty and less action oriented.

Escaflowne already had a shitty remake.

Knights & Magic really was so much better than I had expected it to be. It's too be it falls into the 98% of isekai anime that are just ads for the light novels and only the 2% most generic and with the longest titles get more than one season

You're missing out on Mashin Crestor Wataru, the new entry to Mashin Hero Wataru series. We have a thread here about it somewhere and it's still airing. Higher performance, faster reaction time. Basically, all other guymelefs are imitations of it's kind. Downside is that because of a bond with it's pilot, all damage it sustains is also rendered onto the pilot in the form of body wounds.

Ryu Knight is super underrated, fun episodic fantasy romp. Adeu is a good lead who carries his concept of being naive but genuinely wanting to be an ideal knight. Plus the rest of the party are good bouncing off each other, I'd include Katze in that although when they start gathering more characters it starts to be a bit bloated.
