Mecha stories shouldn't waste our time.
There's a general problem with fiction nowadays wanting to be a sweeping, epic narrative when its elevator pitch is typically not robust enough for that.
>cartoons for japanese toddler's are a waste of time
Hmmm, who could've guessed.
>no bullbuster
>no mecha ude
>no grendizer university
>no kyoukai senki
>no pluto
>no birdie wing
you missed a few hidden gems OP
So the point of this thread is?
>>23301110watch better (shorter) mecha
>>23301126btw mecha is what I call my weenus. my weeeenus peenus that is :)
>>23301126Oh, I genuinely assumed you were saying these shows were a waste of time because Aquarion and Gridman are quite devisive and Twilight Axis and the Arc anime are generally disliked by their fanbases.
>>23301016 (OP)Take Sakugan, Bravern, and Getter Arc out of there and I'll conceed the rest. Granbelm had a better version and it was called Regalia.
I'm gonna waste your but hole
Ass in lay it to waste
>>23302495Bravern is the best in that image.
tbf I can't think of a single 50+ episode series that couldn't drop five or even ten episodes without any real issues.
>>23305062wrong
it's proven that searching for salt for an entire episode is fundamental to the plot, the franchise and the genre as a whole
>>23301126Maybe instead of watching shorter shows that fail to live up to it's potential you stop binge watching longer shows in the span of a few days
>Mecha stories shouldn't waste our time
The Price of Smiles and Shin Getter were both massive wastes of my time
>>23305131>Shin Getter*Getter Arc, man I'm going fucking old-age retarded
>>23301016 (OP)Fiction inherently is a waste of time.
>>23301016 (OP)All anime that don't cover real life problems are a waste of time.
Your hobby should improve you, not brainrot you and make you a bigger lifeless loser
Yes, everything should be a movie
I thought dynazenon kinda blew and that the character stuff felt totally detached from the scifi going ons happening., gridmans character stuff at least felt more cohesive to what was going on with the toku stuff, dynazenon felt like two entirely seperate shows in different genres crammed into one.
Dynazenon itself is kinda cool i guess.
>>23301126Go watch Escaflowne and tell me it would be better if shorter
>>23301142Gridman might've been, I wasn't here during it, but I thought Dynazenon was well-received.
>>23311727final ep had everyone creaming. Or I think it was /a/. I forgot but gridman was rather liked.
>>23311737gridman because nostalgia bait.
>>23305135Getter Arc both anime and manga itself were a waste of time to be honest, i prefer the aggressive and brutal OVA intepretation over the soft and sentimental development of the manga. What really turns me off from Getter Arc is how the ending was a literall rehash of New Getter's ending, except 10 times lamer.
The solution to that is to go watch Gurren Lagann.
Stories* shouldn't waste our time.
>>23311783I’m glad people are waking up to this realization. The manga was already garbage. I don’t give a damn it was discontinued because it was clearly going nowhere.
>>23317334It wasn't renewed, Kamen Rider Spirits was on the same magazine and it simply moved to another one. Arc just got a few extra pages in book form and that's it. That was years before Ishikawa's death.
