In the English world it's become a loanword to specifically refer to a more Japanese-style SFX heavy work so not really.
Honestly most Hollywood action stuff these days is more like a live action movie with 3D animated segments than it is focused on special effects in the same way toku is.

That IS what tokusatsu means, not even just japanese-style, technically any movie with practical special effects counts. If anything most people in the west mostly think of it as just super sentai or kamen rider-esque stuff.

The way it's used in the West is for Japanese stuff.
In English, words like "toku" and "anime" mean something different than what they mean to a Japanese speaker.
Like literal dictionaries have acknowledged tokusatsu is used in English to refer largely to Japanese works and predominantly referring to kaiju or superhero stuff.

I really can't stand those V-fins. The blatant one on the helmet is bad enough, but wouldn't be so bad if it were the same shade of gold as his faceplate to reference the classic horned faceplate. The V-fin on the arc reactor is just ridiculous though.

IIRC Ironheart's initial design was just a traced Dynames gunpla with the skirt armor removed + an Iron Man head. There's even a comic where she uses the armor on one arm to rocket punch someone and you can see the ball socket inside
