I like the planet defensors for whatever they're called either though they only seem to work when it's convenient for the plot.

everyone loves the Leo and Talgeese but I think the Aires and Virgos are more interesting designs

I really liked the generator output limitation of the Hizack. Because it was built on older machine tech, its generator cannot support a full loadout of beam weaponry, it can only support a beam saber or rifle, but not both. When shown on-screen using a saber, the Hizack will have a machine gun. But when it has a beam rifle, it rarely engages in melee and if it does it is with a heat hawk. I loved that in Zeta, just a neat quirk of system limitations expressed as a weapons loadout.

I like most transformable Suits/Armors. I know it's a gimmick to sell toys but I think it's great. Zeta's transformation from MS into Waverider is one of my favorites.
I also like how disposable the V1 is. It's not the almighy, all-powerful Gundam like in Wing or other shows, but it is fairly replaceable and Uso and others constantly use the arms and legs as unmanned decoys or ammo by flying them towards enemies.

I agree. Much as I don't like Scirocco, I love the mobile suits he had a hand in designing and how the Messala transforming surprised the hell out of Emma.
The Gabthley's design is a close second.

I love when the back of a mobile suits hands are different color than its fingers, giving it a "fingerless glove" look. Just makes it look kinda tacticool and badass to me for whatever reason. I have 2 of the Stardust Knight Leos (soon to be 3) and I always use the colored handguards instead of the grey ones for that reason.

I'm curious about this too because I've heard that it is but have only seen that from an /m/ poster (or two) and Kakarot197. As much as I like the latter, it was a bit of dubious claim for me. The wiki, for what it's worth, says the opposite.

That said, a Leo Flight unit does have observably higher armor than an Aries (Noin's plot armor Aries notwithstanding) as there are a couple episodes where an Aries is destroyed by a handheld missile launcher whereas 12 (I think) shows the Leos are impervious to them

Since Leo and Aries weapons tear each other up, in a one-on-one, I'd still put my money on the Aries due to its maneuverability.

Yes, but sadly DX Gundam (aside from PVC anime girl figurines) went the way of the dodo with Turn A.

I like the V2's sliding targeting Scouter.

The Doan Guncannon was a huge pushover and had no business jobbing as easily as it did but I love the chest MG. Really helps evoke a tank or fighter vibe for me.

On the one hand I think it's cool. It reminds me how the DOM II had to rely on specialized e-caps to use it's beam weapon. On the other hand, it's dumb that the Hi-Zacks' reactor is somehow weaker than a OYW era GM, but still considered to be superior across the board.

In Wing it's because the Romefeller Foundation are romanticist who has a fetish for the human form. Though, they do later make a mobile suit that can transform into a plane.

As for helicopters; the Aries is honestly probably more aerodynamic than your typical helicopter. Both are basically flying bricks compared to a plane.

it's criminal that we haven't gotten ANY HG wing grunt kits other than the leo and maganac. I'd kill for a HG virgo and taurus, and the cancer and pisces would also be neat to have even if they are goofy.
