I love my Nagano but this is just silly. Even if you disregard the spaghetti legs on high heels for extra small weight distribution, these cannons would collapse on themselves due to sheer mass and not having any support unless they're built from papermache.
This is fss so it's probably an interplanetary cannon or something but how does it even shoot without losing balance? Does it have little tripods pop out lul?

Ah, I see. No worries. Yeah, I got it in a secondhand store for literally 100 Yen when I was working in Japan a few years ago. For contrast, I also saw Virtual on for 3,600 Yen at the time but regret not buying it in retrospect.

It's fine enough if you can get it (and a Japanese PS2) without much too trouble/cost but probably not worth it otherwise.

And yeah, I'd have to agree, there aren't many flattering images of the G3 Saviour IAM floating around. This is probably the most flattering one.

Short answer is antigravity tech.

Long answer is the entire thing is skeletonized to save as much weight as possible, it's got a second pair of arms and legs meant specifically to brace the thing, it can only fire while stationary, half the barrel is a complex system of vents to mitigate recoil by redirecting the exhaust gases, and it needs pretty much a full squadron to babysit it while it does its thing. It's noted in-universe to be gross overkill and completely impractical, only made as a vanity project by the most vain of engineers, Amaterasu, who is also Emperor of the Galaxy and/or God.

Oh also the only kills it gets are using its sword, and it has laser eyes but Amaterasu is a retard so they burn out the eye sensors when they fire

Not really common, so usually yeah, mobile armor territory. Here's the Deep Striker, a version of the S Gundam fitted with a beam cannon taken from an Irish class battlecruiser's main gun turret. I'm pretty sure it doesn't have legs anymore, they seem to have been replaced by an assortment of thrusters and propellant tanks. I think I recall someone calling it a "thrusterfuck" as opposed to just being a clusterfuck of parts.

it's a combination of both, they are mounted at the backpack and it can angle up or down, the hand-grip is solely because well, gundam loves it's hand grips. it is almost certainly able to fire without needing to handhold it since that's how it works in the transformed mode anyway, but it'd be pointing upward at somewhere between a 30 to 90 degree angle

I think this is the closest you'll get to quadruple long guns. Two over the shoulder and two mounted on the forearms. When pointed forward, they're slightly staggered. Supposed to be some kind of flying machine for aerial combat, not necessarily dogfighting but more like blowing up enemies like ships or carrier planes from a distance.

Can that Byarlant scoot those forearm mounted cannons back or would they clip the shoulder thrusters? They look a bit exposed unless they can retract back and forward when ready to fire

You guys know how Forbidden can bend beams with those magnetic fields? I would love to see that returning more often because since artillery in the traditional sense wouldn't work in space because no gravity.... But with that thing being able to bend beams it would be great to see it on a heavy artillery suit.

From what I remember, the Leo version is strictly physical projectile.
For the Tallgeese, it's supposed to be a physical shell but sometimes it's appears more like a beam shot. I think I heard some side material later says it could fire both types.
Tallgeese II has an identical-looking gun which is beam output outright.
