I actually really liked this movie. Maybe I have a fondness for the type of production, watched a lot of 90s live action scifi shows and found a lot of charm in that. Plot wasn't crazy but it's straight forward, builds up to a climax, and happy ending. All thinks considered I expected the CGI to look way worse and everything to be really bad, instead I enjoyed myself.

It's genuinely good for what it is, the kind of shit you watch as a kid and get obsessed with for no reason other than it hitting the right spot in your autism one way or another.

I expected it to be substantially worse than it was. It's far from excellent, but I've watched a lot of dreck and this isn't that. It's fine.

It's a respectable piece of Gundam media.

I kinda like it's turn-of-the-millennium unorthodox multimedia approach to telling its story over a film, game, books, radio drama and special articles in mode magazines. I'd like to just see something like a manga cover the story from start to finish.
