The developers really like Master Asia. All of his interactions are just him being a jovial but abusive grandpa to the other pilots while the other villains remain intact in terms of motivations

The only thing is some characters like Schwarz, Cecily, and Lunamaria don't have their default suits for some reason. Impulse and Luna's ZAKU do appear in Reborn but not Spiegel or Vigna Ghina.

Yeah, later games do get a larger roster which is neat but I miss both the interactions and the old style DW gameplay. Later games tended to have worse maps too.

Funny enough I think 3 is the worst in terms of gameplay out of all of them. The assists were a neat concept but I fucking hated the respawn system.

I just enjoyed how much easier it was to clean up the grunts with the chain explosions, on top of the greater density making it quicker to capture fields. As much as I love the first game, killing the grunts felt like a slog.
