It’s interesting conceptually, being a modern reimagining of the original Gundam novels without the iconography which made it such a massive franchise. But in practice it comes off as a series of drabbles vaguely connected through an overarching story. The ideas aren’t well explored, at times the edge contrasts heavily against the optimistic spiritualism regarding Newtypes. Having Newtypes come in 'tiers' and giving them psychokinesis totally misses the plot.
