It's more popular than ever before. Gunpla has gone mainstream, and the Hollywood movie is going to make the franchise even bigger. They're trying for Pokemon levels of popularity, and they're going to get it on the merits of the old entries.

the pattern is pretty clear. Shorter series releasing multiple times a year that showcase a ton of new mobile suits to turn into kits. So I am expecting that and then maybe another big universal century release to align with the 50th anniversary.

Nope, Bandai wants a major work released every year until 2029. So GquuuuuuX kicked things off, with the Live Action movie and Hathaway Movie 2 as the two other entries into the road to 50th. A safe bet would be another single cour series done by another studio and another one done internally.

They should make some OVAs on the period between Z and ZZ. I don't understand why people can't move away from the OYW.
