Good Smile has announced Dorvack kits coming to the Moderoid line! Lets have a Dorvack thread, /m/! I've seen it and holy shit it's awesome as fuck, definitely one of the best /m/echa of the 80s. Reed/Asahi was cooking with oil even before the same folks made Dancouga. Hope their Mugen Caliber comes with Combat Caliber parts, it's Nu Gundam done right.

I can see Caliber, Talcas, the Candrids, and the power armors getting kits no problem, but Oberion? Have you seen how skinny it's limbs are? They need to give that one a stand like they did with Liber Legis.

That's a huge stretch. I wouldn't even rate it as an overlooked extended toy commercial made to sell obviously unrelated toys and model kits.
It's a show that killed it's main sponsor Takatoku, and for obvious reasons. It's mediocre. There is some nice animation, I'll give you that. But overworking your animators doesn't make a good show.

It's a proto-transformer with a bad knockoff of Macross' Armored Valkyrie slapped on top, which considering what toyline Takatoku had just made, is not a surprise. Overly derivative and trying to latch on to the the transforming robot hype.

The best part of Dorvack is Makoto Kobayashi's custom work, made to sell the Gunze Sangyo model kits.
