None of that "because future", "Form over function" and vice versa shit.
If it was designed to function through its form, and designed with INTENT, then how does the fucking- ive gone cross-eyed. You know what i mean.

if Snake can carry a fully functional railgun with power and might as expected, then that means that powerplant technology to not only power a railgun but something like those things and the other B&B shit was sufficiently miniaturized

remember, MGS4 and MGR aren't very far apart, and Raiden's literally slowing down time with the energy he gains from gatorade spines

Sure, but the fuel was stored in said Gatorade spine. Where's Snake's Gatorade stored?

The flight pack is powered by the standard Slider UGV's onboard battery and fuel. Ravens personal exoskeleton has a kinetic energy harvesting system built in and a supplementary battery pack in the back side. You'll almost never see it in game though.

The Claw isn't even the most ridiculous thing in Infinite Warfare, this fucking thing is a black hole launcher and there's a black hole mine that's treated the same as a claymore is in game. IW's got this weird tech level where it's simultaneously generic 'yeah that kinda makes sense' sci-fi with the ships and space suits but also has shit like this. Also for some reason there's a regular M1 Garand and a SPACE M1 Garand because fuck you.

>game shows they have broken the light barrier
This makes everything plausible. Question never answered was, what year does Infinite take place in? It's the only game that does not mention it. Here is you NOT Phaser.

I'm still mad we didn't get more space cod. It was the only time in years I was actually interested in the franchise only for them to kick it to the curb right after.

The entire campaign taking place over the course of one day was stupid though, I admit.

Keep going until we get a drunken blend of Macross, Zone of the Enders, and Legend of the Galactic Heroes by the sixth installment.

A lot to ask of Call of Duty, certainly. But COD (In Space) is dead so I can cope and dream.

They made it clear in MGS4 that railgun was the same model as the one Fortune used in MGS2, so this tech existed as early as 2009 in Metal Gear's world.
