looks really cool OP i think if you can try to get your hands on some kind of 3d model and pose that if you can and draw it. will give you flexibility in what you make. i had considered years back tying to make a short manga and that was my plan for the geometric stuff i would draw. but by drawing it it should blend seamlessly.
