his origin is unknown other than that he has trauma about Gundams and he came out of a cryosleep pod after some unspecified time, wiki claims he's been in cryo since the dark history times so I guess he's been asleep for thousands of years. other stuff like one of the turn A manga actually have him pilot a MS from the Wing era to further tie him to Wing's time. Other than that, he yells a lot about Gundams, which also happens to be a thing that the enemy pilots in Wing sometimes do right before getting killed by a Gundam.

I'm not sure if the split-second image of the Wing Zero Custom is a reused cel animation frame from Endless Waltz which was the last Gundam project right before Turn A, or if the WZC was newly drawn for that scene.

Animator fiat. Tomino included random battle shots from every Gundam series as the Dark History sequence so he left it up to the animators to pick a random Gundam Corin was having PTSD over as a cameo. Because like >>23337958 stated Corin was actually there during the Dark History.
