Havent watched the show so I can’t critique it but visually I have to ask why this cast looks like a bunch of autistic Pokémon characters? Man it’s crazy how much story telling and art has changed in just 20-30 years. So many franchises have been totally sanitized in every way to look as soft and inviting as possible. No edge or grit to it. I hate to meme phrase it like that but it’s the truth. Not just gundam but everything.

This sort of character design works better in Gwitch because it takes place in a school and isn’t going for a full on war tone like much of the previous series. For a lot of the show it’s quirky school antics with some corporate politics on the side.

It’s way worse in Gcucks because the “light” mav arc is only like 5 episodes and the rest of the show is trying to be a tomino style Gundam show featuring Pokémon characters.
