Got a fill of ridiculous post-modern nonsense with quacks?
Got taken down a notch in your stand-offish attitude to actually good shows just because they are in 3D?

Then it's about time you enjoy some of the best UC content ever.
>zakus massacring human infantry
>the motherfucking Hildolfr and a whole episode of tanks vs mobile suits
>the one year war from new angles and realistic-looking atmosphere
>semi-realistic looking zeon that makes you go "hmmm, if i wore a zeon uniform i might get away with a few war crimes before anyone is onto me"

I mean, you need more? It's good, go watch it NOW and purify yourself from the deranged post-modern shows we get these days

How many igloo series are there? Idk how many episodes there are or what order to see it in. The clips I’ve seen are cool. Based even.

I love MS Igloo, short but pretty sweet stuff.

>>23350303
There's MS Igloo 1 which is 6 episodes about Zeon, and then MS Igloo 2 which is 3 episodes about the Feds. Simple stuff.

begone with you boy, this is a thread for people who still believe in the future

igloo is from a time when we could actually get good UC content to remind everyone that it isn't impossible if you force everyone with post-modern sensibilities to quit the industry

I loved the in-universe explanation of why the goofy looking Guntank concept disappeared from later shows. Great homage to that ugly mofo

I wanted to, but i don't wanna spoil the coolest part just to market it. There should be enough draw from the actually good UC content after the quacks travesty

I loved the original zeek Igloo specifically because every episode is a massive pile of tragic what-if bait
>what if the Jormungandr actually received proper screening and forward observer targeting information to fuck up the feddies bad as designed instead of being blindered & left completely out of the battleplans because hahah shiny mobil soot?
>what if the Hildolfr had a couple basic bitch Zaku dismounts sent down for parallel drop tests plus combined arms maneuver testing instead of having to carry a solo engagement against multiple mobile suits?
>what if the Zudah had a functional engine limiter right up to the runaway overload redline when they clearly had this sorted by the Dom especially when it purportedly used the same engine as the Rick Dom instead of still being built to kill pilots for no good reason?
>what if the Ze'gok was flown with a proper two man crew every sortie and actual fighter escort ready on egress instead of wasting a possible latent Newtype pilot with good instincts but poor gunnery skills by letting him job it in an unfamiliar mobile armor before eating shit to Core Fighters?
>what if Erwin's cadet group launched in strength with MS support and thrashed the Ball group completely along with their mothership instead of getting penny packeted out to die against 2:1 odds and sending Monique into PTSD catatonia because von Kuspen wanted to save resources by indecisively losing resources?
>what if the now overstrength 603rd manages to not just hold the E field at A Baoa Qu but retreat intact and in good order instead of even more Oggo cadets and von Kuspen eating shit in a forlorn hope defense?
there's a part of me that wishes there had been more & longer series and something more than a vignette based one crew death per episode plot, but its shortness is probably the ultimate source of its sweetness. Are the manga retellings any good? I haven't got around to reading them.

oh man, love seeing a conoisseur
The manga looks good, and has extra plot, but it still has the main "flaw" of IGLOO for popularity, which is being episodic.

We'd need at least a 6ep half-cour following the same characters with the same writers. I think it would be great. In general i wish the one year autists got financed more. Stuff like Origin is more popular, but ultimately waters down the original with some dubious main plot fanfiction, instead of expanding it with cool new flair like IGLOO does
You can't really fuck up following grunts in the one year war and making a war drama, and yet it's somehow rare. Even Thunderbolt had to be over the top. Give us a zaku squad and some memorable characters going through the motions of the war. That's all it takes to make a masterpiece
