there might have some notes made during the show's that vaguely allude to it since they specifically show stuff like a pink energy ray coming from kamille's head when he powered up the zeta's saber, and pink seems to be the color of choice for zeta and some of ZZ's newtype miracles

The only time the Biosensor is alluded to in the tv show is that line by Emma, where she says the Zeta is a machine that can absorb the souls of others and turn it into strength. It's never actually named or set up beforehand.

In a more ideal world the viewing experience for UC should be 79 comps -> Zeta comps -> CCA and while you could still watch them like this it doesn't make much sense. Should've just used that one scene from the ending of the PS1 Zeta game.

Yeah. A couple of dialogue changes ("Haman has been apprehended and awaiting trial" etc.) make most things work pretty easily.
I personally don't think the ending for A New Translation is any good, really. I understand Tomino wanted a more upbeat ending but it basically invalidates the entirety of the rest of UC and if you're going that narrative route why not just go the extra mile and have Char beat Haman and not even have ZZ and CCA in continuity anymore?

I'm watching the series and they are doing everything in their power to keep Amuro out of a mobile suit. WTF, he's the ace pilot of the OYW. They'd have a stacked unit with Char, Kamille, and Amuro. It's beyond unrealistic that they wouldn't put him in a mobile suit straight away.

The characterization in the new animation is really good, and it's fun watching a newly animated sequence where a character pulls another character into a side room and divulges information that skips 4 episodes then they exit the room and revert to 80s animation. I love it.
