Props to Eiji Komatsu too, for animating the timing of cuts and slow mo just right.

This one scene had more care, passion and love for the genre put into it than gbitch and gcucks combined.

Tomino had always been a Director that loves interacting with the environment. He tries to integrate the environment and make the mecha as human as possible. It's why the choreography of the 1970s Gundam is still more entertaining than modern Gundam.

Woah woah woah, why is the action easy to follow? Where's the imcomprehensible rapid movement, random flashes of light and cubes flying everywhere?
