>>23359246Playing 22 right now and the wildest thing about it is that while it (or more accurately the preceding Air Combat) is clearly part of the foundation of Ace Combat proper, the pace and the emphasis on close in dogfight action actually reminds me a lot of what Assault Horizon was aiming for, as if it were a divergent evolution of what AC could have been.
I can't say for sure how it fares in Mach Storm (AH's arcade spinoff of sorts), but a lot of the dumb shit AH does makes way more sense as a quarter munching arcade game.
