I like the designs of the monsters and mechs (or, I'm pretty sure I would, if the CGI was less awkward), and the city looked cool when it was covered in black mist. Outside of those two things, this show is a visual clusterfuck. The MC has possibly the worst hairstyle I've seen in an anime. The main girl's design somehow looks too generic and too busy at the same time. The world doesn't look appealing or memorable. The way the fantasy and futuristic elements clash with each other makes it look more like a theme park than anything else. It's so openly and willfully ugly that I honestly respect it for its boldness.

I can't give the same charity to the story, though. None of the characters or plot elements were compelling, except maybe those two mech pilots who were immediately sidelined to make room for the MC's overpowered isekai magic. I lost interest 40 seconds in and never got it back at any point during the episode, but if I had, finding out that this show is just going to be "Re:Zero but worse" would've killed it again.

At least the music that played when he transformed was good.

If the next episode of this show comes out before I forget that it exists, I will watch at least the first two minutes out of morbid curiosity.
